Each appraisal accurately conveys the retail value of the pearl piece. The appraisal is important documentation for insurance purposes or for your own personal records and states the retail price at which you could replace the pearls at a retail jewelry establishment. In the event of loss, damage, or theft, the appraisal is valid and adequate documentation to replace the pearls with pearls of comparable quality. Unique Lusters’ prices are truly wholesale and will be dramatically lower (80%+) than the appraisal value. The appraisal is signed, written documentation specifying the quality of the pearls including pearl type, setting, type of clasp, gold content, pearl color, intensity of luster, degree of roundness, and size of pearls. For pearl necklaces, the appraisal also describes the length of the strand, number of pearls on the necklace, whether or not knotted, and the matching of the pearls in the pearl necklace.
